Do or Die
The sky is wild, chaotic and out of control. A hot wind rips across the horizon until it is forced through the tattered dry branches. The dark limbs stretch from a gnarly forest, rooted deep into the fragmented granite ledge. On the ledge stands a person who contemplates serious and necessary change. Decorated in victorious copper panels, they stand in the hollow cavern. Calling on all courage to offload the dreaded weight. A weight they have carried in their heart for what seems to be eternity. Steel chains forged by the devil himself hang from the hands of the delicate warrior. The awkward oval links are now rusted and warmed from the blood of his soul. The iron ropes agonizingly inch closer and closer to the fire of freedom. The fire that will set you free. The apocalyptic embers will burn through the night regardless of the warriors decision. Behind the warrior in the darkest part of the cavern, sprouts hope. An iron leaf emerges from the unforgiving lifelessness within the haunted forest. The most unexpected action at the most important time from the limbs of this hollow host. Life where there should not be. This is the single greatest hope this warrior could experience in the moment when it was needed most. Listen to me, with every part of your being that is willing too. Always know that hope is nearby although it may seem far. Always know you can make the choice to let go of the weight that you hold. The weight that is holding you down.
Let go now so that you may live.
